I have owned this MP3 player for 8 months now. It is very easy to down load tracks, and very simple to use. There is no radio, as others have mentioned. It occasional freezes, but removing the battery sorts that out easily. The only problem I had is it refused to except any more the 500mb of tracks. In the end I had to download all the tracks back to my PC, then re-format the MP3 player, then reload the tracks. Now all is well, if you buy one format it first.
The headphone could do with being slightly longer as they have a string loop so you can wear it round your neck. The problem is the distance between the sring loop and the ear piece is not long enough so it keep pulling them out of your ears. Sound quality is not perfect, but OK too.

It started off gr8 then 1 month in it starts not turning off on full battery then all of a sudden 4 months in the screen just appears with a black smuddge all over it and cant see it the black smudge is on the inside and u cant get it replaced beacause its like 4 months in.
Buy a better MP£ player because this 1 looks gud and is a real let down.
PS: theres no fm radio like it says.

I have had this mp3 player for 2 months, and it has slowly and steadily failed on me. It started off fine - on the plus side, files are easily imported onto this player, and it is easy to navigate with a good interface. However, it repeatedly freezes or turns off even on full battery, and finally in the last few days it stopped recognising the card inserted into the back and now refuses to turn on after the initial warm-up screen. i advise buyers to get a more reliable machine, as you will be sorely dissappointed to waste your money. ALBA support have not been very supportive, to say the least.
This MP3 player does NOT have FM radio - 28 Feb 2006

Just revieved this player, and it doesn't have an FM radio function as this page suggests. I've also had a few problems transferring files onto it with the included software, and windows media player. Altogether not very impressive.

I ordered this because I have previously owned an alba MP3 player and I have been very happy with it. This one is very easy to use-I had music downloaded and playing in minutes. The sd card slot was a big selling point as this gives room for future expansion (up to another gigabyte). The player sounds fine and sound can be adjusted by presets for classical etc.Only received it today and used for a few hours but it should be ok in the long term if the other one is anything to go by.
