5 Reviews for Apple iPod nano 4GB Blue

FANTASTIC- but buy a bag for it - 24 Oct 2007

I got this for my birthday a month ago and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. It is multipurpose- plays songs, has four great games, calender, clocks for all over the world, photos, contacts, stopwatch, and notes.

The sound quality is really good and the provided headphones are stylish and just wonderful.

DO NOT BE DECIEVED by the picture. The colour is no way near as tinny or horrible as it seems. It is a really beautiful, electric blue that you will fall in love with.

There is one bad thing- it scratches very easily- but only the scratches on the white parts actually show up. To stop the scratching, I would recommend a cover if you dont really care about the looks of your ipod (they make the ipod look bulky and not very nice), but what I have done is bought a small strapless bag with a soft inside which I put my ipod in. I find this works very well.

Whatever you do DONT just shove it into your handbag because it will get scratched.

Altogether, this is a great purchase, and fully worth the money

Was i just unlucky? - 21 Sep 2007

Bought one, spent ages uploading all the songs, then it stopped working within a couple of months. Unable to repair so given a replacement, that has also died, again after only a couple of months. So from my point of view, a nice idea and it looks great, but ultimately a total waste of money.

Very disappointing - 20 Sep 2007

I bought this to replace my iPod Shuffle but now I wish I hadn't. I bought so I could store more songs and that is the only good thing about the iPod nano 4GB - it stores more songs that the Shuffle.

The bad aspects of the iPod nano 4GB are-: battery life (absolutely shocking - had to charge it almost every day, even if I'd only used it for 2 or 3 hours), the freezing screen, lousy volume control and the fact it broke completely less than 1 month after I bought it.

I wish I hadn't wasted £130 on it as it isn't even worth £1.

I loved my iPod shuffle and expected this to be of similar quality - how wrong I was. I just hope that any iPod I buy in the future is of a decent quality.

Okay apart from the freezing................... - 11 Sep 2007

When I got an iPod from my brother as a birthday present, I was very excited about the prospect of having all that music wherever I go and I had been told that iPods are pretty good. But as the time passed, I learnt that you simply had to be a geek to be able to use the blasted thing. The speakers [which they claim are `the best quality ones`] were crackling and distorting after a while, and even after I switched them for a new set they were STILL distorting. I wanted to purchase some iTunes, but when I found out the cost I wasn`t so keen and thought I`d better stick to CDs which have cheaper songs [most of the time]. Then I discovered a way in which i could really use the iPod, and which saved it from a 2 star rating: you buy some rip-off cables, hook them up to your sterio, attach the iPod onto the other end and bob`s your unkle: you have thousends of songs playing randomly out of loud speakers; great right? Wrong. at first it was fun, but then once I got bored of the songs and tired of the dinky buttons i started putting CDs in because I couldn`t face the strain of messing about with it, or paying for more iTunes. Since then it has come to be a piece of modern day history, waiting for when I will become a nerd. I will say however that the memory is pretty good, but to tell you the truth if I were you I`d save up to buy some CDs rather than this semi-waste of time. I will say however that the nice color is rather more pleasing than boring black/white.
