This is my first iPod and I bought it based on the other reviewers comments. I have found it so user friendly, the iTunes site easy to use and great for creating compilations etc. I haven't had any of the problems recent reviews have stated. I am so glad that I've bought this - it's excellent and stylish.

I just got this new iPod nano as my first iPod, and so far I'm very impressed! The thing really is amazingly tiny; I have to remember to grip it when I pick it up, it feels as if I'm holding a credit card. It's just a beautiful design.
The best thing I've found so far is the amazing quality of sound - I don't know if this is normal for iPods, but compared to a CD player or just an ordinary mp3, the clearness of the sound is unbelievable. I find myseld hearing completely new parts and layers in songs which I've listened to hundreds of times before.
All in all, I think the iPod nano is a great buy and well worth the price for all music and video fans.

Returning mine for a refund. Can't charge, frozen and stuck on apple logo. Great looking and ideal size not good when you can't do anything else with it tho. Doesn't reset and no longer recognised by my computer, so can't reset online to factory setting. What a let down. First time of buying an ipod and the last. Reading reviews on other sites this is a common problem.
Excellent customer service showed by amazon 5 stars for there customer service and commitment to there customers.

Finally bought an ipod! After months of debating which one to go for went for the Nano 8gb. Really impressed, easy to rip cds on to and more memory than you need if you are a regular music lover. Cover flow is ace and I was quickly able to drop missing artwork in to albums that itunes didn't provide (amazon is a great place to get the artwork!).
I would recommend the nano. Worth every penny

I've always bought Sony MP3 players - for a number of reasons, but mainly because I didnt want to conform with the ipod brigade. Sony are ok, but the software is awful and they have now announced that they are changing their entire software so I decided it was time to jump ship. after having to reburn all my sony music twice due to PC crashes I decided that it was time to buy an ipod.
All i can say is I wish I had done it years ago. The new nano looks great (its the size of a credit card and about the same weight) and sounds great. It's easy to use, easy to navigate and the software is a dream compared with Sony. Cover flow is a brilliant feature and allows you to browse your music collection in the same way that you would at home - by album cover. It brings your collection to life.
It also has a flash memory so is great for running or taking to the gym (as its skip free). you can also create compilations easily in istore, which is a dream compared to the old sony connect (5 playlists max!). My only gripe are the earphones - great sound but a bit clumsy. invest in the in ear ones - either by apple or senneiser.
