with any device like this it depends what purpose you want it for. i wanted small, long battery life, quality play back and cheep. i got all of this from this little player. i bought a pair of Sennheiser CX 300 headphones at the same time, they work very well together.
im using this daily while running with the player just dropped inside my pocket. in this situation i find the lack of a screen no loss at all, as i just switch tracks without taking it out of my pocket. i was using a tecknet player prior to this and that was just awful, same storage but had a screen and wasnt in anyway user friendly, sounded rough as well.

which I've never come across before. I got this for my daughter and painstakingly downloaded many of her favourite songs on it - love the look of it and the fact that it appears in itunes on my mac makes life easier too.
But when she went to play them back, many of them jump like a scratched record, skipping away like nobody's business.
I tried to delete them all and start afresh and managed to seriously crash my OSX computer, no mean feat! Now the device says it has 1.7Gb space and no tunes on it, yet it will play all 200 that I loaded on there - badly, of course!
Very very peculiar. I will give it one more go, and unless I get some advice on here, I reckon it will be going back.
Got my son a real cheapo MP3 player a few months back and touch wood, it has been absolutely fine: chose this for her as I had problems with a Sandisk player not showing on my Mac and then got her a cheap Technika one from Tesco that died after first use ... we seem fated not to have an MP3 player!

This is an excellent piece of musical playing kit. It has plenty of storage and no worries about charge time. It obviously has no display and you would be retarded if you thought there was one for only £20 and 2GB.
Definitely buy this it is great! and ultra light so it can go in you pocket or hold it without problems while running.
Buy Buy Buy - it is great great great - (no display but why would you need one on a 2GB player?)

What a piece of rubbish. What's the point of selling an MP3 player that has no display?! I made a mistake buying this so don't you do the same. I can't believe this was not mentioned. Also the lanyard attaches to the removable cap-genius! So you will probably lose it if you wear it round your neck.
