5 Reviews for Creative MuVo TX SE 1GB MP3 Player

Very,very good. - 30 Jul 2007

This was the first MP3 Player i'd ever had, and after reading good reviews about the easiness of use, I decided to buy it.
It's sooo easy to use, and one AAA battery lasts for ages!
Creative's customer service is the best I have EVER had the fortune to contact - I had a problem when I stupidly took the battery out of it when it was turned on, and all the music got wiped - A nice man from Creative guided me through the steps to re install the firmware - well done Creative - your customer service is something to be proud of.

I only left this player for another when 1gb wasn't enough room for me.

This Gave Me A New Hobby: MUSIC!! - 17 Jan 2007

Welcome to 2007 friends! I've decided to now do Review's for more than just Computer-Video Games!! Mostly, Music, Films and other fancy gadgets, so let's get started!!

It was around late 2005 when my brothers were interested in an IPod/MP3 Player! It turned out that my two brothers got themselves a small MP3 Player, which allows them to play their own music! I got myself interested in music as well and I finally had my very own MP3 Player for Christmas in 2005!

The Creative MuVo MP3 Player is a small piece of machinery that is so easy to use! All you need to do is get some CD's or download music, place them on a Computer/Laptop as a MP3/WMA File, take out the MuVo part of the MP3 Player (which is a USB Cable), place it into you're PC and transfer all the music you want to that gadget! Then when you're ready, return it to the Creative part of the MP3 Player, grab some headphones and then dance, relax, sleep and sing along to all the songs you like!

I was mostly interested in Hip-Hop & Rap Music at first, mostly 50 Cent & Sean Paul, but as 2006 went by I died down on Hip-Hop/Rap and I now have a taste of everything, preferably songs that have reached Number 1 in the UK & in the USA! I research it all!

An advantage with the MP3 Player as well is that it can also record WAV Files which can be transferred to you're PC! You can record for up to about 40 Hours! Not only that, but you can also use the USB Cable part as a Memory Stick, which means, that you can transfer up to 512MB's of data (which is very handy if you don't have any disks or Hard-Drive!). Alone, the 512MB Creative MuVO MP3 Player can store up to 100 Songs! Don't forget you need an AAA Battery as well, which can last up to about 20 Hours alone!

There are disadvantages as well! Mostly it's the size, as while you're walking or working out the gym, the MP3 Player may fall or drop out, and if you don't lock the MP3 Player it can switch off or Pause you're song! You may realise as well, depending on the headphones and batteries you purchase, the song you listen may differ by sound and speed!!

But alas, since these MP3 Player's are under £[...] these days, who can complain? My mother had the 1 Gigabyte MP3 Player for Christmas in 2006 and I transferred 100 Songs for her!

Software Grade: 9.5/10: Not To Shabby, Not To Evil, But Very Good

My Wish: I do find it annoying when it slips out of you're pockets/hands and when the headphones get twisted around and damaged, so I wouldn't say no to a hook or so which attaches onto the MP3 Player and can easily slide through safely in the pocket without hassle!

Songs That I Think Sound Good On The Creative MuVo MP3 Player...

1. Akon Feat. Snoop Dogg: I Wanna Love You (2007)
2. Bobby "Boris" Pickett: Monster Mash (1962)
3. Duran Duran: Hungry Like The Wolf (1984)
4. Eddy Grant: Electric Avenue (1983 & 2001 Remix)
5. Eddy Grant: I Don't Wanna Dance (1982)
6. Genesis: Jesus He Knows Me (1992)
7. Genesis: That's All (1983)
8. Jamiroquai: Deeper Underground (1998)
9. Jamiroquai: Virtual Insanity (1996)
10. Limp Bizkit: Rollin' (2001)
11. Linkin Park: In The End (2003)
12. Lighthouse Family: Lifted (1996)
13. Men At Work: Down Under (1983)
14. Phil Collins: Another Day In Paradise (1989)
15. Queen: I Want To Break Free (1976)
16. Scissor Sisters: I Don't Feel Like Dancin' (2006)
17. Shaggy Feat. Rikrok: It Wasn't Me (2001)
18. Simon Webbe: Coming Around Again (2006)
19. Simply Red: Fairground (1995)
20. Simply Red: For Your Babies (1995)
21. Simply Red: Something Got Me Started (1995)
22. Simply Red: Stars (1995)
23. U2: Desire (1988)
24. U2: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (1987)
25. U2: Walk On (2001)

Final Comments: Overall, I recommend it to anybody who fancies some tunes while they're on their travels, or something to help you're singing speech! But please be careful when you're out and about with this in you're ears! Many people get run over and killed because they have loud music in their IPod's/MP3 Player's while crossing the roadwaays and forget big time, about the roads!! And that my friend is the truth!!

not usb2 - 02 Nov 2006

Time to transfer 109mb album using USB1 port was 155 sec and using USB2 port was 65 sec. This was faster but not 10 times faster as it would be if true USB2 speed.I think the bottle neck is with the software on the player. (from creative website)These players sort by filename, they depend on the file names to sort the tracks.if it is important that the files are played in the correct order your files should be in the following format:
06-Red-Hot Chili Peppers- Zephyr Song.mp3
It doesn't matter what comes after the number, unless you have more tracks with the same number, in the same folder on your player. That is why we recommend you create a folder for each album on your player, before transferring your MP3 album. I like the player a lot but I just think Creative was unfair to sell it as having high speed USB2.

Great little MP3 player - 30 Aug 2006

My wife and I both have one of these now. It's a great little MP3 player that is very easy to use. It uses normal AAA batteries which I personally think is a good point as I have had some bad experiences with built in rechargeable batteries. It's great value for money and can hold more than enough music for my needs. The only reason I have put 4 stars is because the LCD screen is quite small and although I find it easy enough to use others may not.
