Good idea but needs more work - 03 Feb 2005

This seems like a great idea at first glance but when I received my mp3run I was initially very surprised that the only way to run with it was to strap it to my arm. Other mp3 players come with a variety of options so that you can pick the one you prefer. Personally I find arm straps chaff terribly but for all the fab features on this one - I was prepared to be inventive with a solution to this problem.
Then came the software to transfer my music. What can I say - if nike are going to make an mp3 player and sell it to the gadget geeks of the world - the least they can do is make it compatible with the most common applications. The software provided was terrible, slow and inefficient and in my case - just didn't work properly. You get 2 programmes - 1 that only recognises certain formats and the other which would't write to the device properly.
I am hoping that my situation was a fluke and that my player is faulty because if this is the way you are supposed to transfer music onto the player - then I would go with creative labs instead. Their players are so much easier to use.
So - great idea - just not quite there yet though.
